Re: iPad apps – That sounds fantastic and I look forward to seeing them. And you’re right about the ‘white van man’ image – just because I can’t imagine it doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Couriers, for instance, could have their itinerary and maps on an iPad so why not a newspaper or magazine?

I’m hopefully going to be working on some iPad apps with Penguin, so will let you know how they go!

I know the white van man image seems far fetched but idea of one with a mobile was once equally ridiculous…

I think that the real growth area for sub-editors is freelancing for websites and blogs.

This is why it is good to have a sub-editor check over your work. Sometimes you are just too close to it and miss the obvious.
